73. Using WiFi USB with ProGate
* Please note that For ProGate, WiFi is not recommended.
* After setting WiFi, don't use ProGate's network configuration in adminWeb.
1. install and activate WiFI USB Driver
1) Insert WiFi USB and install Linux driver for the WiFi USB
2) Check USB detection
[progate@progate ~]# sudo lsusb
3) Check Lan card status
[progate@progate ~]# sudo iwconfig
4) Interface up
[progate@progate ~]# sudo ifconfig wlan0 up
2. confiure interface
1) Scan APs
[progate@progate ~]# sudo iwlist wlan0 scan
[progate@progate ~]# sudo apt-get install wpasupplicant
[progate@progate ~]# sudo vi /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
2) Write in wpa_supplicant.conf
network={
ssid="ssid_name"
psk="password"
}
3) Activate wlan
[progate@progate ~]# sudo wpa_supplicant -B -iwlan0 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf -Dwext
4) enable DHCP
[progate@progate ~]# sudo dhclient wlan0
5) Set default route
[progate@progate ~]# route add default gw 192.168.0.1 wlan0
